Professor (Dr) Kamlesh P. Joshipura is among the most prominent leaders of higher education in Gujarat region. He held the chair of Vice Chancellor of two state universities of Gujarat for three terms. As the Vice Chancellor of two different universities, Prof. Joshipura played a dynamic role in streamlining the administration, reinvigorating and restructuring the academic culture and bringing about transparency and accountability into the system.  Prof. Joshipura had the privilege of steering multiple high-powered committees in various institutions and organizations of National and State Level as a Chairman as well as a Member. He has been a member of the Search Committee for the selection of Vice Chancellors in 14 universities of national repute. He was given the responsibility as a Member of the Search and Selection Committee for the Chairman University Grants Commission also.

A distinguished academician and administrator, he currently works as a professor in Law at the Department of Law, Saurashtra University. He has been an active member of some professional bodies of Law. Being an experienced faculty of Law, he has been involved in helping the number of aspiring researchers as a supervisor. He has more than 80 publications to his credit. He has been a Member of the Editorial Board for some reputed journals. He holds the degree of Ph.D. and D.Litt. His area of specialization are Constitutional Law, Insurance Law, Exim Law and Forensic Science (LL.M. level), Social Justice, Social Security and Labour Laws, Political Science and Public Administration, University Administration, Legal Research and Educational Management and Governance.
